Adventure at the Aquarium

Shipley 3rd grade students traveled to the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ today.  Students have been reading the book Shark Lady in class for language arts.  In social studies, students have focused on the age of exploration across the seas.  Studying ocean animals (sharks, sea turtles, and whales) in science was a great way to make connections across the curriculum.  
some animals we saw:
tiger sharks
zebra sharks
hammerhead sharks
loggerhead sea turtles
northern diamond terrepin turtles
jellyfish (moon jellies and sea nettle)
sting rays
african penguins
