Classifying Shark Teeth Fossils

on February 19, 2013

3rd Graders sorted through and classified different shark teeth fossils today in class.  We identified the great white shark, mako shark, sand shark, tiger shark, and dusky shark.  Each kind of shark has a unique set of teeth that relates to its diet.  We catagorized the shark teeth into daggers, rippers, and shredders and tried to identify the different shark teeth based on the shape of the teeth.
