Spring Flowers Begin to Emerge

on March 15, 2013

In both our South Garden and North Garden on campus, many perennials are begining to emerge from the soil.  Emperor red tulips are breaking through the soil.  Snowdrops and crocuses are early march flowers in our garden.  We see daffodils also emerging in our north garden by the fourth grade classrooms.  We should have red tulips flowering in our garden by the end of this month.   We will measure them and compare the results to our predictions students made in the fall.  We will be sharing our results with the Journey North project.
