Red Emperor Tulip Blooms in Garden

on April 8, 2013

After many months of waiting, our first tulips our finally ready to bloom. Our fifth grade class made some sketches in our garden beds today.  We had lots of time to observe, sketch, and measure our plants in the 3 garden beds.   One of my students photographed a number of flowers in our garden.  One of the tulips is showing a red color, so we should have our first tulip bloom tomorrow.  The bloom time for tulips this year is a little later than last year.  We noticed one of the grape hyacinth plants beginning to flower.  The fifth grade student took another great close up shot of a miniature daffodil in the garden.  Nice job, Liv.
