Spring at Last

on February 25, 2014

After 50 + inches of snow we have all been looking forward to spring.  Our raised beds exposed to the southern sun revealed some exciting news this week.  Snow drops, our February flower, were the first flowers to bloom in our garden this year.  Despite the record cold weather and snow this winter in Philadelphia, spring is now on its way.   Our red emperor tulips are beginning to emerge through the soil, too.  Our third grade class went outside to take a look at the raised beds this afternoon.
