Fifth Grade enjoys three day Echo Hill Trip

on November 3, 2014

Fifth Graders had an exciting 3 day trip to Echo Hill Outdoor School on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.   We explored a variety of different habitats along the Chesapeake Bay.  Students enjoyed learning survival skills on the beach, building a shelter and making a fire.  They explored the shrub and tree swamp hiking a long trail along a boardwalk and traveling by Scanoe.  All students had the opportunity to take a boat out on the Bay and observe small perch, striped bass, sunfish, catfish, american eel, blue crabs, and different kinds of plankton.  The video created captures some of the many adventures we had on the trip.
