Red-Tailed Hawk Sighting at Bryn Mawr College

on November 26, 2014

The day before Thanksgiving Break third grade students took a walk over to Bryn Mawr College to observe some birds near the pond.  Since the leaves have fallen, it is now easier to spot the birds up in the trees. The whole group was excited to see a red-tailed hawk sitting on a lamp post.  The hawk noticed our group and then flew to a higher tree.  A few of the third graders were excited to see a red-tailed hawk, because they had done a report on the hawk for last year’s desert zoo project.  We can’t wait for our next bird walk.
